Hi,
Given WinXP is version 5.1.2600 what version will VISTA be?

Version of Final release
Unknown until it actually is released. The public beta is 5384, but there will be many more interim builds before release. Just how many is a question no one can answer.

That means NT 6. That will have no bearing on the build which is released to maufactuing as Vista Gold.
Windows 2000 is NT 5. XP is NT 5.1 (thus the "5.1" in 5.1.2600). Windows 2003 Server is NT 5.2.

Current Vista version I would assume is 6.0.5384, Vienna to be 6.1.? I think 6.0.6600 sounds like a good final version :-)

Given that "2600" was an arbitrary pick and not actually the final build for XP, who knows how it will be determined.
